# Dead Model 100 - Help Needed

I have an Atreus and a 100, love both until this morning when the 100 has DIED….

If I hold the program button when connecting I get the red Led but not connection to Chrysalis. I can find no way of bringing the board back to life.

The unit lives on my desk and has been connected without issue since purchase. The cable has been changed as has the port to the dock. Using the Atreus to type this on the same cable and port, so no issue there.

Could this be the issue? Fried Chip???

Can you please HELP???

Sorry that your first post here must be such a downer. Not having any replies is not super either, but could mean that no one had such a problem before which is hopeful 😉

Seeing the picture, you already opened the keyboard. Are you comfortable programming the ~~ATMEGA~~ GD32F303 directly via the Arduino IDE?

I found [another topic](https://community.keyboard.io/t/keyboardio-brick-recovery-help-needed/4640/3) discussing a similar issue with a Model 01, not sure if it is applicable in your situation.
