# Just got keyboard and unable to flash

According to this thread [Flashing: SKETCH, LIBRARY, SOURCEDIR, and ROOT need to be set](https://community.keyboard.io/t/flashing-sketch-library-sourcedir-and-root-need-to-be-set/3241/9) Catalina broke flashing on every ATMega32U4 based Arduino. So you won’t be able to program your keyboard before Apple pushes a fix for it.

If you have access to a windows or Linux machine there should be no problems flashing the keyboard.
