Hi all,

I’m thinking of swapping the MX Brown in my Model 100 for Kalih low profile choc. Has anyone done this before and recommend or have any pictures?

Curious as to how the ergonomics are once the keys are lowered

You can’t - choc switches are not pin-compatible with MX switches. (These switches are only **keycap** compatible with MX switches.). The page you linked even says as much:

> - Hot-swap compatible: Yes, with Choc hot-swap sockets only (not sold by Keyboardio). Different pin layout than most MX switches

FWIW, I just changed the Atreus keycaps to low profile keycaps and it made a world of difference. I’m using the ones from my [Keychron K11](https://www.keychron.com/products/keychron-k11-max-qmk-via-wireless-custom-mechanical-keyboard), which I stopped using once I got used to columnar layouts. They are low profile spherical-angled and _super_ comfortable.

Are you able to post a picture? That must be a lovely board to type on.

There are a few MX compatible “low” profile keyswitches. I tried the Tecsee Pudding Medium keyswitches and travel is noticeably shorter! See my topic here: [The Worlds' first\* Low Profile\*\* Model 100](https://community.keyboard.io/t/the-worlds-first-low-profile-model-100/13473)
