# Repair for Model 01 needed - broken space button

The space button for my Model 01 is broken. It previously broke and was professionally repaired by the [keyboard.io](http://keyboard.io) team, but now it’s broken again.

Is the [keyboard.io](http://keyboard.io) team still doing repairs? Or does anyone know of anyone else who can do the repairs? They can be anywhere in the world, it’s not urgent, so I can wait for the keyboard to be mailed back-and-forth.

Seeing the time since you posted: good that it is not urgent!

Is it broken as in, the switch is broken?

Anyone with mediocre soldering skill and a new switch at hand can replace it. The annoying thing is getting hold of a new switch. There was a moderately recent thread in which someone mentioned compatible switches from Aliexpress. → this is not the advertisement I had in mind, but at least it is labeled as ALPS-compatible: [Outemu otm gaote alps switch Clicky 30g Linear 60g like alps switches Matias switch for mechanical keyboards](https://nl.aliexpress.com/item/4000320410629.html)
