# The use of Qukeys in layers apart from the primary layer

I have raised an issue in the Qukeys module. [Issue 52](https://github.com/keyboardio/Kaleidoscope-Qukeys/issues/52)

I am using two different base layers depending on OS, each of these layers then uses two futher suplementary layers which are shared.

I use a LockLayer to modify the base layer. My Qukey does not work when I have locked to the alternate layer or any other layer apart from the real base.

Is there a way to make a Qukey is available in more than one layer?
