On an older version of Kaleidoscope, I had my Model 01 set up such that the fn button shifted to a new layer, but that Shift+fn went to a numpad layer. Setting up a new Model 100, I’m finding my old configuration does not quite work, crucially because this was built on a macro, and it relied on being called every cycle, rather than only when keys were pressed and released.
What I’m trying to figure out is if there’s a way to accomplish this in Kaleidoscope v2. What I’m currently considering is building the macro out a bit more and putting it on both the Fun and Shift keys - essentially it would need to examine the state of both keys and “do the right thing”
I’ve tried MagicCombo, which seems not to work because the Fun ShiftToLayer(FUNCTION) “wins”. I’ve looked at Chord, but there doesn’t seem to be a keycode for the Fun key, and I’m basically just hoping that the ShiftToLayer would work as an output.
