QMK Sucks! - Why Kaleidoscope is better

It is unfortunate you were not able to solve the problem you had at the time: I see you did start a thread on the matter. I have not read it in detail - since you said you sold the board anyway - but it is likely that if it was Kaleidoscope at fault it would have been fixed in the intervening three years. Certainly the forum is more active nowadays so queries get answered sooner.

I think that as a community we are spoilt with our own forum and discord, unlike hobbyist boards that have to be discussed over public forums which means others in the scene become aware of them and maybe you get a breakout like Atreus or Ergodox. So as users it falls to us to do a better job of evangelising. Hardware is obvious, and subject to Keyboardio business marketing, but it perhaps falls to us users to “big-up” the software. But I suggest we have more to gain by increasing recognition for Kaleidoscope and Chrysalis - specifically to encourage its porting to more keyboards, more third party developers and faster evolution of these tools.
