Subsequent to this I flashed the “eeprom_clear” sketch in Arduino IDE (File>Examples) and I’m good once more.
When you update the firmware with the Arduino IDE, it doesn’t have a way to clear out the EEPROM storage and changes to the plugins in your firmware can cause the layout of EEPROM storage to get changed, which results in the corruption you’re seeing. I’ve got a couple ideas about how to work around that, but they’ll likely take some time to try out (and I’ve gotta get the Preonic shipped first)
I’m experiencing the exact same issue on one of my Atreus keyboards. This is happening consistently when I switch to a new layer I added last week, now the keys will randomly shift around and leave me stuck. Did you get around to fixing this issue?
My keyboard is now unusable. I’ve attempted to reload my layouts, but the keys randomly change immediately after loading before I exit Chrysalis. After reconnecting to Chrysalis it will show the keys have shifted ![]()
