I understand that the keycaps are painted with something black, labeled by removing the paint with a laser, and then coated with some uv protection.
Has anyone ever figured out, if with some easily accessible chemical the paint can be removed without affecting the underlying keycap material, and in a controlled way/without the chemical running all over the surface?
