Alternate Currency Symbols In Keymap on Linux

I’m from the US, so I use the US keymap; but since I’m living in the UK it would be nice to be able to use the butterfly key to type a British pound symbol. I’m not seeing a key code for it. I see a Windows-only solution elsewhere; is there a more general-purpose solution, or even just a solution for Linux?

You’d probably want to try the unicode plugin for a more cross-platform approach, but I believe that still depends on setting your OS in your sketch.
