Trackball for the next Model XXX?

first off, just want to say that i really love the model 100, it’s my current choice for endgame keyboard, thanks Jesse and Kaia for this lovely piece of hardware!

my own personal final improvement would be if we could somehow fit a trackball somewhere

the keymouse implementation looks quite good, but the lack of customisable keycaps turns me away. not too sure about their software too, i think they do some custom stuff to get the mouse bit working

would love to see a Model XXX with a good trackball implementation.

I wish they could add a track point like the old ibm laptops had

The only one I am aware of is the Ultimate Hacking keyboard, which is actually really nice (good software and hardware), but no columnar staggered layout and no sculpted keycaps – which you can see as an advantage, difference or disadvantage, depending on your preference and “compatibility” you want or need to other keyboards.
