Preonic arrow keys inverted T?

Hi, I’ve backed the Preonic. I need some ideas to implement the inverted ‘t’ as arrow keys.

I don’t like the … vim style? … arrow keys on a row. I navigate quiet a lot on Mac, using the arrow keys with Shift, Cmd and/or Option. But the arrow keys on a row always have me make mistakes. I just can’t get used to it.

It’s one the reasons I keep coming back to the Atreus instead of the Model 100. Now that I’m expecting the Preonic, I could use some ideas to get the inverted ‘t’ arrow keys working without to lower/raise to a layer.

I’m not sure if it will feel natural to place the up key between . and /.

Yeah, I do this on the Atreus and am planning on doing it with the Preonic as well.

Here is my current Atreus layout:

I am planning on using this for the Preonic as well. I’ll have an extra row of 12 more keys on top and 4 more in the middle, plus the three knobs on top! I’m not sure what I’ll use all that space for.

By the way, I also used an inverted T style layout for arrow keys on the Model 100! Check it out:
